Mr. David Samuel Taylor Sr.

Mr. Taylor was born on April 7, 1945 in Alma Garden, New Mexico, the son of Lillian Givens Carr and David Taylor. He is a 1963 graduate of Sadie V. Thompson High School and attended Alcorn State University until he was drafted in the U.S. Army in 1964. He later attended Co-Lin Community College. He previously was employed at Diamond International, Natchez Water Works, and International Paper Company. He was a member of Wilderness Baptist Church. David loved landscaping his yard, listening to the Blues, fishing, cooking, and talking with the elderly. David was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father: Albert Carr, Sr.; his grandparents: Evelyn and John Givens; brothers: Albert, Jr. and Larry Carr, Robert Taylor, Johnny Brown; sister: Louise Ray. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife: Gloria Sewell Taylor; two sons: David Samuel Taylor, Jr. and wife TaWanda of Natchez, Sean Patterson and wife Nicole of Baltimore, MD; a daughter: Anjurnet “Angel” Taylor and her companion Stephanie ; two brothers: Ray Carr, Sr., Henry Smoot, both of Natchez; four sisters: Betty Joyce Morris and husband Milton, Lena Butler and husband Leon , all of Natchez, Anna Gill and husband Charles of San Francisco, CA, Lottie Mae Jackson of Los Angeles, CA,; grandchildren: Davion, Davin, Raven, and Keseana; and other relatives and friends.
