    Mrs. Lillie Mae Johnson McGrew

    August 9, 1926 - January 4, 2017

    Mrs. McGrew was born on August 9, 1926 in Natchez, the daughter of James Johnson and Amanda Jerome Chase. She is a graduate of St. Francis High School in Natchez. Lillie was self-employed. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Lillie enjoyed reading the Bible and other religious books, jigsaw puzzles, playing scrabble, spade and gin rummy. She loved cats and dogs. Lillie is preceded in death by her parents; husband Herman McGrew, Sr.; two brothers: Willie Johnson and Charles Johnson; two sisters: Jamie L. Williams and Katie M. Johnson.. She survived by two sons: Herman McGrew, Jr. and James L. McGrew; five daughters:Marjorie McGrew, Ann Range and husband Benjamin, Lillian McGrew, Melinda McGrew, Catherine McGrew; two nieces: Lula Mora, Sandra Ross; three nephews: John Hillard, Peter Hillard, James O’Neil; eleven grandchildren: Guy Green, Zharqui Harris, Nicholas McGrew, Bryan McGrew, Brandy McGrew, Cody McGrew, Emmanuel Lewis, Jameca McGrew, Kayla McGrew, Desiree McGrew, and Wade McGrew and a host of other relatives.
