    Mrs. Vergie Mary Williams Cain

    November 16, 1949 - May 20, 2018

    Vergie was born on November 16, 1949 in Monticello, MS, the daughter of Lenza Williams, Sr., and Charlene Mallard Williams. She was educated at McCoullough High School (Monticello), Natchez Jr. College and Alcorn State University. Vergie was retired from the Franklin County School District and Concordia Parish Schools. Mrs. Cain was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and on Mother’s Board. She also held memberships with the Cemetery Club and Deacon’s Wives Club. Vergie enjoyed planting flowers, reading Sunday School lessons and singing. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Charles Williams, Frank Williams, Sr., Lenza Williams, Jr and sister: Brenda Levy. Survivors include: her husband: Albert Cain, Jr.; daughter: Monique Cain-Jones and husband Tavaris “TA”; sisters: Linda Crawford and husband Haywood and Elizabeth Expose; grandchildren: Tai Jones and Lenza Jones; sisters-in-law: Ethel Mearle Williams, Annie Cain, Audrey Harris and husband Calvin; brothers-in-law: Leroy Levy and Robert E.
